The Hebrew word for ‘power’ is toqeph and includes ‘strength’ and ‘energy. This word can also be used in place of ‘authority.‘ ‘Power’ is found 452 times in the Complete Jewish Bible.
“The water held power over the earth for 150 days” (Genesis 7:24).
“The Spirit of Adonai will rest on him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and power, the Spirit of knowledge and fearing Adonai...” (Isaiah 11:2).
