“Everything I am commanding you, you are to take care to do. Do not add to it or subtract from it. If a prophet or someone who gets messages while dreaming arises among you and he gives you a sign or wonder, and the sign or wonder comes about as he predicted when he said, ‘Let’s follow other gods, which you have not known; and let us serve them,’ you are not to listen to what that prophet or dreamer says. For Adonai your God is testing you, in order to find out whether you really do love Adonai your God with all your heart and being. You are to follow Adonai your God, fear him, obey His mitzvot (commands), listen to what he says, serve him and cling to him; and that prophet or dreamer is to be put to death; because he urged rebellion against Adonai your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt and redeemed you from a life of slavery; in order to seduce you away from the path Adonai your God ordered you to follow. This is how you are to rid your community of this wickedness“ (Deuteronomy 12:32-13:5).
Beware of those who claim to represent the true Messiah, but teach His Law (Torah), the righteous instructions of yod-hey-vav-hey, His Father are done away with.
The spirit of the antichrist, the spirit of lawlessness has been around from the very beginning. The coming antichrist is known in Scripture as “The Lawless One” referring to the removing of the “Laws of God” (Daniel 2:21). Beginning with Adam and Eve many have taken this fruit of lawlessness and eaten it themselves by questioning the very instructions of their Creator.
Satan has always tried to get God’s people to fall into disobedience to His righteous instructions (Torah). Yeshua our Messiah followed those same instructions and taught His followers to do the same, teaching his disciples (us) in great detail how to walk them out in fullness and to know exactly how to love His Father and our neighbors.
“For the secret of lawlessness is already at work – only he who now restrains it will do so until he is out of the way. And the lawless one shall be revealed, whom the Master Y’Shua shall destroy with the breath of His mouth and the brightness of His coming. The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works, with all his power and signs and wonders of falsehood, and with all deceit of unrighteousness in those perishing, because they did not receive the love of the truth, in order for them to be saved. And for this reason God sends them a working of delusion, for them to believe the falsehood, in order that all should be judged who did not believe the truth, but have delighted in unrighteousness” (2 Thessalonians 2:7-12).
Don’t be deluded?
“I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their kinsmen. I will put My words in his mouth, and he will tell them everything I order him. Whoever doesn’t listen to My words, which he will speak in My name, will have to account for himself to Me” (Deuteronomy 18:18-19, Matthew 5:17-20).
When Yeshua began His ministry he chose 12 men to follow Him and learn from His teachings. Even then as is now men began teaching other men to follow a different path by either adding to or taking away from His Father’s Word and the obedience to it. The enemy has planted himself among men, continually testing them to see if they will change and follow the broad road and serve him, just like he tested our Messiah in the desert.
We must realize that all through Scripture yod-hey-vav-hey has allowed the adversary to test His people in order to find those that will truly serve Him and worship Him in both Spirit and Truth opposed to those that will not, no matter how religious they may appear to be. “For the time has come for the judgment to begin. It begins with the household of God; and if it starts with us, what will the outcome be for those who are disobeying God’s Good News?” (1 Peter 4:17).
According to Moshe in Deuteronomy and Yeshua in Matthew, a false Messiah, a false Christ will be one who teaches that the Torah has been ‘done away with.’ This is why the Jewish people cannot receive the Jesus being preached in the world. He is a false teacher, false prophet and fulfills the Deuteronomy verses which define a false Messiah.
“For there will appear false Messiahs and false prophets performing great miracles — amazing things! — so as to fool even the chosen, if possible. There! I have told you in advance!” (Matthew 24:24-25).
We have been given through Torah the way to discern the lawless one.
Consider that the first command was about eating a fruit. Consider that Leviticus 11 is about eating certain meats and refraining from others. Consider that Acts 10 is used to nullify Leviticus 11. Is Peter a false prophet/teacher or has the lawless one twisted the words of yod-hey-vav-hey?
The warning has been given.
