“Look around among the nations! What you see will completely astound you! For what is going to be done in your days you will not believe, even when you are told” (Habakkuk 1:5).
“Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who change darkness into light and light into darkness, who change bitter into sweet and sweet into bitter! Woe to those seeing themselves as wise, esteeming themselves as clever. Woe to those who are heroes at drinking wine, men whose power goes to mixing strong drinks, who acquit the guilty for bribes but deny justice to the righteous!” (Isaiah 5:20-23).
“Here is the final conclusion, now that you have heard everything: fear God, and keep his mitzvot; this is what being human is all about” (Ecclesiastes 12:13).
“That same day [during the first day of counting the omer], two of them were going toward a village about seven miles from Yerushalayim called Amma’us, and they were talking with each other about all the things that had happened. As they talked and discussed, Yeshua himself came up and walked along with them … then, starting with Moshe and all the prophets, he explained to them the things that can be found throughout the Tanakh [old testament] concerning himself” (Luke 24:13-27).
“Now on that day the remnant of Israel, and those of the house of Jacob who have escaped, will no longer rely on the one who struck them, but will truly rely on the Lord, the Holy One of Israel” (Isaiah 10:20).
“Then it will happen on that day that the Lord will again recover with His hand the second time the remnant of His people who will remain, from Assyria, Egypt, Pathros, Cush, Elam, Shinar, Hamath, and from the islands of the sea. And He will lift up a flag for the nations and assemble the banished ones of Israel, and will gather the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth. Then the jealousy of Ephraim will depart, and those who harass Judah will be eliminated; Ephraim will not be jealous of Judah, and Judah will not harass Ephraim” (Isaiah 11:11-13).
“Thus says God, Adonai, who created the heavens and spread them out, who stretched out the earth and all that grows from it, who gives breath to the people on it and spirit to those who walk on it: “I, Adonai, called you righteously, I took hold of you by the hand, I shaped you and made you a covenant for the people, to be a light for the Goyim, so that you can open blind eyes, free the prisoners from confinement, those living in darkness from the dungeon. I am Adonai; that is my name. I yield my glory to no one else, nor my praise to any idol” (Isaiah 42:5-8).
“But Judah will be inhabited forever, and Jerusalem for all generations. And I will avenge their blood which I have not avenged, for the Lord dwells in Zion” (Joel 3:20-21).

“Even if all the nations that live under the rule of the king obey him, and have chosen to do his commandments, departing each one from the religion of his fathers, yet I and my sons and my brothers will live by the covenant of our fathers. Far be it from us to desert the Torah and the ordinances. We will not obey the king’s words by turning aside from our religion to the right hand or to the left.” (1 Maccabees 2).
“But when the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit on His glorious throne. And all the nations will be gathered before Him; and He will separate them from one another, just as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats; and He will put the sheep on His right, but the goats on the left.”
“Then the King will say to those on His right [the sheep], ‘Come, you who are blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in; naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.’ Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You something to drink? And when did we see You as a stranger, and invite You in, or naked, and clothe You? And when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it for one of the least of these [Jewish] brothers or sisters of Mine, you did it for Me. Then He will also say to those [goats] on His left, ‘Depart from Me, you accursed people, into the eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels; for … Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did not do it for one of the least of these [my Jewish brothers and sisters], you did not do it for Me, either.’ These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life” (Matthew 25:31-46).
“Their webs are useless as clothing, their deeds are useless for wearing; their deeds are deeds of wickedness, their hands produce violence (Hamas in Hebrew). Their feet run to evil, they rush to shed innocent blood, their thoughts are thoughts of wickedness, their paths lead to havoc and ruin. The way of shalom they do not know, their goings-about obey no law, they make devious paths for themselves …” (Isaiah 59:6-8).
“Whoever kidnaps someone must be put to death, regardless of whether he has already sold him or the person is found still in his possession” (Exodus 21:16).
“The good person produces good things from the store of good in his heart, while the evil person produces evil things from the store of evil in his heart. For his mouth speaks what overflows from his heart” (Luke 6:45).
“God, do not remain quiet; Do not be silent and, God, do not be still. For behold, Your enemies make an uproar, And those who hate You have exalted themselves They make shrewd plans against Your people, And conspire together against Your treasured ones. They have said, “Come, and let’s wipe them out as a nation, So that the name of Israel will no longer be remembered” (Psalm 83:1-4).
“But now this is what Adonai says, he who created you, Ya‘akov, he who formed you, Isra’el: “Don’t be afraid, for I have redeemed you; I am calling you by your name; you are mine. When you pass through water, I will be with you; when you pass through rivers, they will not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire, you will not be scorched — the flame will not burn you. For I am Adonai, your God, the Holy One of Isra’el, your Savior —” (Isaiah 43:1-3).
