“Adonai, God of Israel, enthroned between the cherubim, You alone are God over all the kingdoms of the earth. Give ear, Adonai, and hear, open Your eyes, Adonai, and see, listen to the words [the Adversary] has sent to insult the Living God.”
“Adonai our Adonai, deliver us from his hand so that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that You alone, O Adonai, are God.”
Turning to the wall, he prayed to Adonai,
“Remember, Adonai, how I have walked before you faithfully and with wholehearted devotion and have done what is good in your eyes.”
And Hezekiah wept bitterly.
‘I have heard your prayer and seen your tears” (Isaiah 37:23).
