Wickedness – Hebrew: Beliya’al

בליעל

Beliya’al is a Hebrew word that means ‘destruction, death.

It is used to modify the word d’var or ‘word’ as a ‘wicked word.’

“Then you will say, ‘We ate and drank with you! you taught in our streets! and he will tell you, ‘I don’t know where you’re from.  Get away from me, all you workers of wickedness!” (Luke 13:27, CJB).

“But he will reply, ‘I don’t know you or where you come from. Away from me all you evildoers” (Luke 13:27, NIV).

In the Greek, Yeshua would be saying, “Get away from me, all you workers of lawlessness!”  In the Hebrew, Yeshua would be saying, “Get away from me, all you workers of ‘torah-lessness’ as the word ‘torah’ has been translated as ‘law’ rather than ‘teachings and instructions.’
