Is there such a thing as a Judeo-Christian tradition today? In other words, is there something recognizably Jewish in the Christian faith that includes the supposed founder of a new religion called Christianity –– the Jewish Jesus? I have actually had Christians say that if they knew Jesus had been Jewish, they wouldn’t have become Christian or that Jesus is in no way Jewish because he is the Son of God. That’s a chasm, a huge dividing wall in the description of the Judeo-Christian tradition.
