Haggai 2:5-7 – Daily Bible Verse

December 7, 2020

“This is in keeping with the word that I promised in a covenant with you when you came out of Egypt, and my Spirit remains with you, so don’t be afraid!” For this is what Adonai-Tzva’ot says:

“It won’t be long before one more time I will shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the dry land; and I will shake all the nations, so that the treasures of all the nations will flow in; and I will fill this house with glory,” says Adonai-Tzva’ot.”

The Hebrew word for ‘word’ is דבר or devar and means ‘speech,’ ‘saying.’

The Hebrew word for ‘afraid’ is יראו or yirau and means ‘extreme fear,’ ‘dread.’

“This is in keeping with the spoken word that I, Yahweh, pledged with you my servants, when you came out of Egypt, and the holy wind of my breath remains with you, so don’t dread or be fearful!”

For this is what Yahweh Army of Heaven says: “It won’t be long before one more time I will quake and tremble the sky, water and the land of the earth … and I will quake and tremble all the peoples of the world, so that the desire and delight of all the peoples will flow in; and I will complete, finish and dedicate the Temple with honor, splendor, and reverence descending upon it,” says Yahweh Army of Heaven.”
