The Pentagram of Enneagram

“The Spirit expressly states that in the acharit-hayamim [last days] some people will apostatize from the faith by paying attention to deceiving spirits and things taught by demons” (1 Timothy 4:1).

In the past few days I’ve been ‘enlightened’ to the Enneagram and its roots in the occult. This ‘enlightenment’ was even to its actual existence as I had no idea what it was/is. Now that I am coming to an understanding, I find its timing interesting as Halloween approaches.

What wasn’t so amazing to learn is that evangelical Christians are using this ‘doctrine of demons’ to find their identity and define their personality. Why? Because so much of modern Christianity has apostatized – fallen away from the teachings of the apostles, from its Biblical foundation. They have embraced all manner of worldly ways and have reverted to a pagan system of worship.

“Therefore, if anyone is united with the Messiah, he is a new creation — the old has passed; look, what has come is fresh and new!” (2 Corinthians 5:17).

Modern Christianity has lost the Biblical truth of finding individual identity in Messiah Yeshua and being transformed into His image producing not 9 personality traits, but 9 fruits of the Spirit. Instead of becoming ‘new creations’ by the power of the Ruach haKodesh (Spirit of God) in Messiah, they seek to understand more about their fleshly ‘self’ – the very flesh ‘self’ that the serpent used to tempt Eve in the Garden.

“But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come.  For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these.  For among them are those who enter into households and captivate weak women weighed down with sins, led on by various impulses, always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth (2 Timothy 3:1-7).

Because many who profess being Christian still rationalize celebrating Halloween, the epitome of the demonic, the highest holy day of Satan, it is not difficult to understand how they can embrace more of the occult and pagan practices. Satan masquerades as an angel of light and they have become blinded to seeing and walking in his false light alone.

“Stay sober, stay alert! Your enemy, the Adversary, stalks about like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour” (1 Peter 5:8).

The modern theology that has been taught regarding the ‘death’ of Old Testament has brought serious ramifications into the Body of Messiah. To believe the Old Testament commandments died when Jesus did makes all the warnings about witchcraft, channeling, demon worship and idolatry irrelevant to a restoring spiritual walk of faith.

“For I am Adonai, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt to be your God. Therefore you are to be holy, because I am holy” (Leviticus 11:45).

Or, worse yet, the teachings and instructions of God longer apply because ‘God looks at their heart.’ God does look at the heart and that should scare everyone who rationalizes their departure from obeying the pure and holy Word of God, rationalizing their own deceptive nature of sin.

“He [Menasseh] made his sons pass through the fire in the valley of Ben-hinnom; and he practiced witchcraft, used divination, practiced sorcery and dealt with mediums and spiritists. He did much evil in the sight of the Lord, provoking Him to anger” (2 Corinthians 6:3).

Most Christians do not believe their actions can ever provoke God to anger because of His overwhelming grace and mercy. They will even go so far as to say they can ‘redeem’ these demonic activities (among others that are forbidden in Scripture) because of Jesus. The only two things that can be redeemed and are only redeemed by and through Yeshua are Creation and humanity.

“We know that until now, the whole creation has been groaning as with the pains of childbirth;  and not only it, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we continue waiting eagerly to be made sons — that is, to have our whole bodies redeemed and set free” (Romans 8:22-23).

Man can never make holy that which God has called an abomination or evil whether it’s unclean foods, embracing the traditions of false gods, or worship of ‘self.’ To do such things only sugar coat the fruit from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. Such a fruit becomes easy to swallow and brings forth more and more deception. And then, there’s Halloween

“Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap” (Galatians 6:7).

Post-Halloween Reflections

Menorah

“There are those who rebel against the light, who do not know its ways or stay in its paths” (Job 24:13).

I guess if it’s okay for my Christian friends to post their dark and evil Halloween pictures on Facebook and other places, it must be okay for me to wonder why they took part in the holiday at all.  It just doesn’t compute in ‘my renewed mind’  how one can say they believe in the resurrection of the dead because Jesus rose from the dead and then dress like dead people, zombies, skeletons.

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will” (Romans 12:2).

It makes no sense that anyone would want to redeem this wicked, lawless, holiday for Christ.  I just can’t wrap my brain around how anyone who claims to be a Christian justifies honoring a holiday that Jesus would never have done or condoned because of its darkness.  Jesus called us “out of the darkness into His glorious light” (1 Peter 2:9).

Do Christians even shudder at the thought of demons they play with and dress like?  They must have forgotten that Jesus cast demons out of people who knew what it was like to be possessed.

“You believe that “God is one”? Good for you! The demons believe it too — the thought makes them shudder with fear!” (James 2:13).

“So he traveled throughout Galilee, preaching in their synagogues and driving out demons” (Mark 1:39).

God used Halloween  to set me free from demonic things in my life by showing me demons hanging on people who were ‘harmlessly’ dressed up and unknowingly partying with their possessor on Halloween.  It was the most eye-opening moment in my life and changed my spiritual direction drastically.    Unfortunately, the gift of discerning spirits isn’t one of the more tolerated gifts in the Body of Christ because so many who are supposed to be holy to the Lord have embraced the world and rationalize their behavior with the world.

You adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God” (James 4:4).

Whether or not a Christian realizes it, they will stand before God one day and give an account of their lives.  They will have to explain to the King of Kings why they celebrated a holiday that mocked the Father and Creator of Life and His Son who died to bring them life (Romans 14:10).

Kirk Cameron.  He is a man who has embraced the world and the things of the world, and then teaches others to do the same with arrogance and ignorance.  He has become a spokesman for idolatry and is far removed from the will and purpose of God. He doesn’t know the Scriptures; he twists them as the Adversary did in the wilderness.   More importantly, He doesn’t know the God of the Bible except how he has divined Him to be with some ‘feel good about yourself message.’  I can honestly say, “I wouldn’t want to be in his shoes on judgement day.”

I pray for those Christians I know who embrace the death celebration and its trappings through Halloween.  The burden on my soul and spirit becomes so great during this time of year.  It’s  exhausting and draining because I can literally see the evil.  Each year my prayer list gets longer because there is a great falling away.  Those who didn’t take part in the darkness just a few years ago are doing so now.  This year my prayers included an entire local church.   I hope that someday each person who I prayed for comes to understand the darkness they have embraced and how the Light of the World continues to shine in the darkness calling them out.

A friend posted a Scripture from Revelation 22:11-12 and it seems appropriate to conclude my post-Halloween thoughts.

“Whoever keeps acting wickedly, let him go on acting wickedly; whoever is filthy, let him go on being made filthy. “Also, whoever is righteous, let him go on doing what is righteous; and whoever is holy, let him go on being made holy.” “Pay attention!” [says Yeshua,] “I am coming soon, and my rewards are with me to give to each person according to what he has done.”

The Reason for this Season Isn’t Christian

The Reason for the Season
The Reason for the Season

“There must not be found among you anyone who makes his son or daughter pass through fire, a diviner, soothsayer, an enchanter, a sorcerer, a spell-caster, a consulter of ghosts or spirits, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is detestable to Adonai, and because of these abominations Adonai your God is driving them out ahead of you. You must be wholehearted with Adonai your God. For these nations, which you are about to dispossess, listen to soothsayers and diviners; but you, Adonai your God does not allow you to do this” (Deuteronomy 18:10-14).

As I have been reading some articles on Halloween and its history, I am confused as to why there are so many articles written by and for Christians encouraging their participation in this holiday.  It really doesn’t matter to me what each person decides to do, however, I believe that God, Elohim does.

Within the plethora of Samhain articles, greeting cards and wiccan/pagan blogs, there are also as many articles written by Christians for Christians.   One article I perused said that because Halloween isn’t mentioned in the Bible (?), we are free to take part, but always use caution and wisdom when celebrating.  I guess the above Scripture isn’t in ‘their’ Bibles?

Similarly, I have read articles over the years written by Christians for Christians that say because the Sabbath isn’t reiterated in the New Testament, it isn’t for Christians.   These two concepts together bring me to the following questions:  When celebrations rooted in evil are not in Scripture, we are free to celebrate with wisdom?  When celebrations are rooted in God’s Word, we are ‘free from them?’

Isaiah clearly prophesies about such confusion of good and evil and darkness and light:

“Woe to those who call evil good  and good evil,  who put darkness for light and light for darkness who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter” (Isaiah 5:20).

Halloween is not in the Bible for a reason.  Samhain is a celebration of evil and darkness and death by the servants of the evil one.   The Bible holds the keys to righteousness, light and life and is held out by those who are servants of the Holy One of Israel, the Most High God, the one who brought us out of darkness and into the light – Yeshua.

“For you used to be darkness; but now, united with the Lord, you are light. Live like children of light, for the fruit of the light is in every kind of goodness, rightness and truth –  try to determine what will please the Lord. Have nothing to do with the deeds produced by darkness, but instead expose them, for it is shameful even to speak of the things these people do in secret” (Ephesians 5:7-12).

A Soldier’s Story

Management at Victoria’s Secret (NYC),

Three weeks ago I requested to have October 31st off as the celebration of Halloween goes against my religious beliefs therefore I do not work or even leave my house on this day.  As my request was rejected, here is a written statement and comparison showing my religious convictions and reasons why I do not take part in Halloween.  I also choose to not leave my home as a precautionary measure to my safety, as traveling alone late at night on Halloween is not a wise option.  All one has to do is read the newspaper the following day to know the dangers and the tragedies.

The History: taken from wikipedia.com and paganwiccan.about.com

Halloween’s origins date back to the ancient Celtic festival of Samhein which marked the end of harvest and the beginning of winter, a time of year associated with death. The pagan Celts believed that on that night, the boundary between the worlds of the living and dead blurred, and the ghosts of the dead returned to the earth. It was a night for preternatural communication with the dead, various forms of divination and prophecy, and sexual rituals.

Samhain is one of the eight annual festivals in the Wicca Wheel of the Year, often referred to as ‘Sabbats‘, observed as part of the Wiccan Wheel of the Year. It is considered by most Wiccans to be the most important of the four ‘greater Sabbats’. It is generally observed on October 31 in the Northern Hemisphere, starting at sundown. Samhain is considered by some Wiccans as a time to celebrate the lives of those who have passed on, and it often involves paying respect to ancestors, family members, elders of the faith, friends, pets and other loved ones who have died. In some rituals the spirits of the departed are invited to attend the festivities. It is seen as a festival of darkness.

Samhain is known as the witch’s new year, and it’s a time when the veil between our world and the next is at its thinnest. It’s a season of death and dying and darkness, and hearkens the coming of winter’s chill.  Halloween imagery includes themes of death, evil, the occult, or mythical monsters.

My Religious Beliefs: taken from The Torah and The Bible

Deuteronomy 18:10-12 “Let no one be found among you who sacrifices his son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. Anyone who does these things is detestable to The Lord.”

Ephesians 5:7-12  “So don’t have anything to do with anyone like that. You used to be like people living in the dark, but now you are people of the light because you belong to the Lord. So act like people of the light and make your light shine. Be good and honest and truthful, as you try to please the Lord. Don’t take part in doing those worthless things that are done in the dark. Instead, show how wrong they are. It is disgusting even to talk about what is done in the dark.”

John 8:12 “When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.’”

2 Corinthians 6:17 “Come out from among them and be separate.”

Thank you for your time and I apologize if this causes any inconvenience to the scheduling and coverage of that day.  I attempted to avoid such problems by giving an advanced notice of my intentions, which in the future I will make clearer at a much earlier date.  I am more than willing to work my scheduled Monday shift of 1 to 7 with a call-in to 10 pm if moved to the following day, Tuesday the 1st of November.
