Adam was created from the dust of the earth, the first God-made jar of clay. Elohim (God) breathed His Ruach (Breath) into Adam so he had the ‘treasure’ of God’s life-empowering Breath inside him. Because Eve was created from a flesh portion of Adam’s body, she also had the Ruach inside her. Accordingly, all human descendants of Adam and Eve are also clay jars with the life-giving Breath of God in them.

2 Corinthians 6:17-7:1 – Come Out From Among Them
For several years, my husband and I had been searching out the Jewish roots of our faith. We had been learning about the Sabbath and the Festivals of the LORD and were trying to incorporate them into our Christian lives. We shared what we could with others in our church only to be looked at strangely or told we were ‘falling away’ from the grace of God and His salvation. Without knowing anyone else who was seeking these things, we felt alone. We continued with our Sunday activities because we were warned about ‘forsaking the fellowship,’ but there was always something missing –– FELLOWSHIP. This particular boring day changed the course of our walk forever.
Hebrews 6 – Maturing in Messiah
The message of wisdom is for the mature who walk in the Spirit of God (1 Corinthians 2:4-6). God’s Spirit enabled Yeshua to walk in the wisdom of his Father. God’s Spirit gives the spiritually mature the same wisdom as Yeshua, the mind of Messiah (1 Corinthians 2:16). Wisdom is taking knowledge and understanding and acting on it. According to Hosea 14:10, the wise understand that the ways of Adonai are straight, and the righteous walk in them.
Hebrews 6 – Elementary Teachings
The Complete Jewish Bible translates ‘baptism’ as ‘instructions about washings’ or a mikveh. A mikveh is an immersion for purification and done numerous times throughout a person’s life for various reasons. During the month of Elul (August/September) there was an immersion for the repentance of sins before the arrival of the Days of Awe and the Day of Atonement. This repentance immersion was nothing new. When John preached repentance from sins at the Jordan River, the men and women of Israel were taking part in the repentance immersion during the month of Elul. It was at this same time that Yeshua was immersed and the Spirit of Adonai came down and rested on him like a dove (Luke 3:20-22).
