Blessing for the Wine (Sabbath)

When our family celebrates the holy days, Sabbath especially, with the sharing of wine, we always include Yeshua because he is central to all of the appointed times of God.  The Hebrew for the New Testament Scriptures are from a personal Bible written in Hebrew.

.ברוך אתה יהוה אלהינו מלך העולם, בורא פרי הגפן

ברוך Baruch –  Blessed
אתא Atah –  You (masculine)
יהוה Yahweh/Adonai
אלהנו Elohe-nu – Our God
מלך Melek – King
העולם HaOlam – The Universe

בורא Boreh – Creator
פרי Pri – Fruit
הגפן HaGefen – The Vine

Baruch atah Adonai Eloheinu Melek haOlam boreh pri hagefen.

Blessed are you, LORD our God, King of the Universe who creates the fruit of the vine.


“Yeshua said, “I AM the Vine and you are the branches.  If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit” (John 15:5).

ישוע Yeshua, the Hebrew name of Jesus that means Salvation
אמר Omer – Said
אני הוא Ani Hu- I Am (I Am that I Am)
גפן Gefen – Vine
אתא Atah – You (masculine)
הסניפים HaSneefim – The Branches

אם Em – If
אדם Adam – Adam (first blood man)
נשאר Neshir – Remains
ב׳ Byah – In Me
ואנוי בוV’Ani Boo – And I You
הוא Hu – He
ישא Yisah – Will Bring
הרבה H’Revah – The Much
פירות Pirot – Fruit (plural feminine)

Yeshua omer ani hu gefen atah haSneefim.  Em adam nesir byah v’ani bo hu
