The Hebrew word for ‘commandment’ is mitzvah. Mitzvot is plural and is found 123 times in the Hebrew Scriptures. According to Jewish tradition there are 613 commandments – positive commandments – in the Torah. Yeshua says that these commandments are divided into two specific ones: Loving God and loving your neighbor (Matthew 22:40).

ord is found over 400 times in the Hebrew Scriptures. Teshuvah, is the Hebrew word for ‘repentance’ and means ‘a return to righteousness.’
Iniquity – Hebrew: Avon
According to the NASB, iniquity is found 192 times in the Hebrew Scriptures; guilt 172 in the Complete Jewish Bible. It is iniquity in the heart that causes sinful behavior. After King David sinned with Bat Sheva, he was so grieved with his guilt and the iniquity in his heart that he asked Elohim not to take His Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) from him. There is double punishment for iniquity that not only includes guilt, but also the punishment that comes from being guilty.
Israel War Update – Day 24
Rocket and missile fire continues, including two barrages to the center, and one to Jerusalem and the area for the first time in almost two weeks. A huge barrage of rockets to Netivot resulted in two direct hits, one on an apartment, which it completely destroyed, and thank G-d was empty. In Ashkelon a factory was hit, causing a minor fire. No physical injuries were reported today.
The IDF is continuing to expand the ground operations in Gaza. Soldiers who are going in tonight on a special mission have asked that Jewish people and our friends worldwide pray for their success.
