Elul is the sixth month of the Biblical calendar year. It is considered the month of repentance used for preparing for the High Holy Days or the fall ‘appointed times’ of Trumpets and especially Yom Kippur. It was during the month of Elul that Yeshua was tested in the wilderness.
“Then the Spirit led Yeshua up into the wilderness to be tempted by the Adversary. After Yeshua had fasted forty days and nights, he was hungry” (Matthew 4::1-2).
