The Hebrew word for ‘time’ is עת or eth and means ‘in its time.’ The ‘right time’ according to the Amplified Version is ‘appointed time’ suggesting there’s an ‘appointed time’ for when God quickly takes action. As I write this, the next ‘appointed time,’ is Hanukkah, the memorial to the cleansing and re-dedication of the Temple in Jerusalem. This holiday is all about a few have victory over the multitude.
Israel War Update – Day 54
My personal opinion is that it’s time to call the ‘hostages’ what they really are: prisoners of war. As such, they need to all be returned within a given time period (very short) or Hamas should face being bombed out of Gaza. Innocents die in wars on both sides, but it’s time for the US and western nations to shut up and allow Israel to do what needs to be done – for all of us.
Psalm 27:14 – Hope in Adonai
In Hebrew, there are two words for ‘hope’ that have the same root: quavah meaning ‘twist or weave’ as in a ‘cord’ that holds expectation. Rahab dropped a scarlet cord from her window with the expectation that her family would be saved when Jericho was destroyed by the Israelites.
Israel War Update – Day 53, Hostages 5
On Tuesday afternoon, unidentified militant factions in Gaza broke the ceasefire agreement, and attacked IDF positions. Three explosive devices were activated in two different cases in the Northern Gaza Strip, and in one case, a shot was also fired at IDF forces. Several IDF forces were injured. The IDF responded by firing at the sources of the gunfire. In both cases, the IDF forces stayed within the agreed ceasefire lines.
