Sarit, being a Messianic Jew, has such an incredible understanding of the Scriptures and how Yeshua taught the Torah. It was so refreshing to hear the Word spoken about in its original context with its fulfillment being realized in the Words of Messiah.
Torah vs. Disputable Matters
A little more in-depth study shows the Greek word for ‘food ‘ is not even in Romans 14:14. The Strong’s Concordance said the word was “not in Greek” meaning the word ‘food’ was not found in the original Greek manuscript even though it was added to some of our English Bibles. This is significant for two reasons. First, Sha’ul was not speaking to the Romans about the removal of dietary instructions or the ‘appointed times’ of Adonai and our freedom to do whatever we want. He was teaching about what individuals consider acceptable or unacceptable in their personal lifestyles – disputable matters – and how as the Body of Messiah, the strong in faith need to accept the weak.
Dancing on the Water – February 17
This moment became an ‘appointed time’. We got up from our seats, and in the center of the boat danced to Kadosh. It was an inspirational moment to dance ‘on the sea’ of Galilee with a Messianic Jew singing Kadosh. Daniel played a few more Hebrew worship songs. We unloaded the boat to the dock to the song, “Days of Elijah”.
Yom Rishon & A New Week – February 16
Rejected in Nazareth, Yeshua lived in Capernaum and made it his center of activity for 18-20 months. Located on the Sea of Galilee, it was also the International Highway connecting Mesopotamia and Egypt. It’s importance is indicated by the presence of a Roman centurion and a detachment of troops, a customs station and a high officer of a king.
