Negotiations continue for the release of the hostages. Israel’s minimal conditions include the release of all woman and children. Hamas is demanding, amongst other things, a pause in fire, with no Israeli aircraft over or near Gaza, so that Israel cannot track Hamas terrorists and uncover the locations where the hostages are being kept.

Commander of the Air Force Major General Tomer Bar said “We are working with intensity, the face of Gaza will change, every bomb out of the tens of thousands of bombs we dropped is an intelligence-based target, it hits Hamas operatives, its commanders, the organization’s infrastructure, and its headquarters.”
Israel War Update – Day 49
Professor Hagai Levin, head of the medical department at the abductees families’ headquarters, spoke at a joint press conference about the health of the captives. “Among the abductees are babies, children, women, elderly men, the sick, the injured, the disabled and those with special needs. Where are they? Who takes care of them? These are people in urgent need. They can die without medical treatment. There is an immediate threat to their lives. Everyone needs medical treatment, sunlight, vitamins, food, and more. They need their doctors. The captives cannot speak, so we must make their voices heard.”

My kids went back to sleep in their own beds. The sirens are less frequent, and we haven’t had a nighttime one in a while. It took time to convince the little ones—they felt safe in that tiny room with the thick cement walls and heavy metal door. They could let their guard down and fall asleep without worrying about a missile plummeting towards our cozy neighborhood.
