Each of those Hanukkah menorahs represented eight sparks of life, millions of them burning all over the world. Eight sparks remembering the Jewish souls who refused to assimilate into the darkness around them, refusing to bend the knee to other gods. Eight sparks multiplied remembering the murdered Jewish souls in every generation, and even those today who suffer for only being chosen by G-d to be His light to the nations around them.

Other miracles were harder to recognize.
Israel War Update – Day 65
Meanwhile, more reports came from Gaza of mass surrenders by Hamas terrorists, lately in Jabaliya. After people unfamiliar with war and terrorism complained about photos of the surrendered terrorists stripped to their underwear, the IDF Spokesman explained that this is done to ensure that they’re not hiding weapons or wearing explosives under their clothing. (Note: The terrorists treated the hostages much worse: underwear, no shoes, beatings, and sexual assaults. Should Israel do the same?)
