Most of them hid in their safe rooms on October 7th, barricading the door and praying for 18 hours or more while listening to machine gunfire all around their homes. Some jumped out of their windows as their house went up in flames, and then ran to hide in bushes or outdoor storage huts while Hamas terrorists hunted them down. Too many of them lost siblings, parents, or children. All of the displaced people from the south lost at least one family member or friend on that horrible terrible day.

Israel War Update – Day 57

The Prime Minister’s Office announced that hostage negotiations have completely broken up, and the Mossad team was returned to Israel. Hamas did not fulfill the agreement to release all the women and children according to the list agreed upon. The head of the Mossad thanked the head of the CIA, the Egyptian Minister of Intelligence, and the Prime Minister of Qatar for their partnership in the mediation efforts that led to the release of 84 children and women from the Gaza Strip, in addition to 24 foreign citizens.

The IDF spent the first two days back at war destroying new booby-traps and explosives, as well as new rocket launchers set up by Hamas during the ceasefire.

Israel War Update – Day 55 and Hostages 6

A terror attack at the entrance of Jerusalem was carried out by two Hamas members from East Jerusalem. Four Israelis were killed: Rabbi Elimelech Wasserman, 73, Chana Ifergan, 60s, Livia Dickman, 24 and pregnant, and Yuval Doron Castleman, 38.

Prime Minister Netanyahu addressed the attack, and added “This is the same Hamas that carried out the terrible massacre on October 7, the same Hamas that tries to murder us everywhere. We swore, and I swore, to eliminate Hamas. Nothing will stop us.”

Israel War Update – Day 53, Hostages 5

On Tuesday afternoon, unidentified militant factions in Gaza broke the ceasefire agreement, and attacked IDF positions. Three explosive devices were activated in two different cases in the Northern Gaza Strip, and in one case, a shot was also fired at IDF forces. Several IDF forces were injured. The IDF responded by firing at the sources of the gunfire. In both cases, the IDF forces stayed within the agreed ceasefire lines.
