ince the beginning of the ground maneuver in the Gaza Strip, the IDF forces have located more than 800 underground tunnel shafts belonging to Hamas, of which approximately 500 have been destroyed through a variety of operational methods, including explosions and blockades. Some of the shafts located connected strategic assets of Hamas through the underground medium. The IDF also destroyed many kilometers of underground tunnel route, but with caution, to avoid areas where hostages may be held.

Israel War Update – Day 55 and Hostages 6
A terror attack at the entrance of Jerusalem was carried out by two Hamas members from East Jerusalem. Four Israelis were killed: Rabbi Elimelech Wasserman, 73, Chana Ifergan, 60s, Livia Dickman, 24 and pregnant, and Yuval Doron Castleman, 38.
Prime Minister Netanyahu addressed the attack, and added “This is the same Hamas that carried out the terrible massacre on October 7, the same Hamas that tries to murder us everywhere. We swore, and I swore, to eliminate Hamas. Nothing will stop us.”

Three explosive devices were activated in two different cases in the Northern Gaza Strip, and in one case, a shot was also fired at IDF forces. Several IDF forces were injured. The IDF responded by firing at the sources of the gunfire. In both cases, the IDF forces stayed within the agreed ceasefire lines.
