The intense battles are continuing in Khan Younis, where the IDF is searching for the hostages and the chief terrorists who are hiding underground. The terrorists are moving the hostages around in an attempt to flee the IDF. The IDF found one tunnel where the hostages had been held recently for a long amount of time, which showed extremely inhumane conditions.

Israel War Update – Day 93
At a rally for the remaining hostages, Agam Goldstein-Almog, a 17-year-old who was released from Hamas captivity after being held in Gaza for 51 days, spoke of her time in captivity, and said “One day we moved from a house to a tunnel. Suddenly the door opened and we met six girls. Many girls experienced severe gender* abuse, they are injured with very severe and complex injuries that are not treated. I can’t even imagine what their situation is and what hope they are holding on to.”

While Israel hasn’t publicly taken credit for the assassination, Israeli intelligence has been trying to kill al-Arouri for years and the United States has had a 5 million dollar bounty on him since 2015. Many in Hamas considered him to technically be the leader of the terror group, because of his military history, and because he is the one who managed the negotiations for the Gilad Shalit deal, which led to the release of over a thousand of Palestinian terrorists, including Yahya Sinwar.
Israel War Update – Day 80
The IDF published information about a large tunnel network in Jabaliya, where earlier this month the IDF found bodies of five slain Israeli hostages. The IDF had intelligence about hostages being held in Jabaliya. During searches, they located several tunnel shafts, which they investigated further. The massive underground tunnel network was about one square kilometer, had two levels, an elevator, large halls, restrooms, and a command center. Some of the tunnels went underneath a school and hospital, or led into the home of the former commander of Hamas’s Northern Gaza brigade.
