Journey With Jeremiah: Nourishment for the Wild Olive

Journey Cover

To Purchase

“Treat the Messiah as holy, as Lord in your hearts; while remaining always ready to give a reasoned answer to anyone who asks you to explain the hope you have in you —” (1 Peter 3:15).

Journey with Jeremiah is a compilation of reasoned responses written to answer questions regarding a ‘gentile’ walk of faith in the Jewish Messiah of Israel. It will challenge a gentile’s spiritual attitudes and how they live out their love for the God of Israel and His Son, Jesus (Yeshua). It will move the non-Jew from a crossroads in their faith onto the ancient paths bringing nourishment to the wild olive.

Part One explores many of the misunderstood doctrines in historical Christianity: the new covenant, the problem in Galatia, the law vs. the Law, Peter’s vision, and the timing of Jesus’ birth. Part Two brings the ancient shadows into the reality of Yeshua giving prophetic insights into the unexplained ‘Jewish festivals’ that leave holes in the pages of the New Testament. Part Three gives simple recipes, study guides and crafts to use when celebrating the Biblical holidays.

Anne with an ‘E’ Study Guide

As a home educator for over 25 years, I have learned the importance of designing curriculum to meet the individual needs of my children while always focusing on their spiritual development.  When my oldest daughter chose to read  Anne of Green Gables, I couldn’t find a published study guide that combined the emotional growth and the spiritual honesty of Anne with the rich vocabulary and literature of her era.  Hence, the birth of Anne with an ‘E’.

Anne with an ‘E’ is more than a comprehension study with vocabulary and questions; it is also interpretive.  Think About and Discuss questions are meant to take the parent/child, student/teacher deeper into Anne’s world – a world with moral and spiritual values very different from our world yet embracing the same hopes and dreams of young men and women today.

Locate each Vocabulary word in the chapter.  Write out the word along with the sentence in the book.  Using a dictionary, write out the definition that pertains to how the word is used. Many of these words are ‘archaic’ and the use of an older dictionary may be necessary in order to find the proper definition.  To strengthen retention, a personal sentence may also be written using the word.  All definitions are found in the Teacher’s Section.

Creative Writing, Literature and Other Activities may also be done in this notebook.  Many of the Creative Writing assignments are short compositions and/or thoughts about situations that Anne experiences.  Three literature pieces that Anne speaks about are included in the Appendix.  The others, which are very long,  may be found in anthologies or with a simple internet search.

Geography includes learning about Nova Scotia, Canada and the surrounding region where Anne grew up and attended school.  An outline map of Nova Scotia is included.

Bible Application makes use of Bible study.  Each Scripture can be written out.  Feel free to use different translations of the Holy Bible as they may have different nuances in the words used.  Many of the questions and discussions challenge the ideas of church and religion as Anne’s childlike faith is tested through the use of  Scripture.   Bible Application brings  challenges from Anne’s world  to a personal spiritual growth level.   As our family walks in a Biblically Messianic Jewish faith, you may find some new and different spiritual concepts presented.

Have fun with  Anne with an ‘E’.

Passover Haggadah

“The living, the living—they praise you, as I am doing today; parents tell their children about your faithfulness” (Psalm 38:19).

Passover is a story that has been retold for thousands of years. It is the account of God’s miraculous deliverance of His people from slavery to freedom, from despair to hope, from darkness to light. It encompasses the eternal truths of His character and personal involvement with His people. It endures as a testimony to His grace and merciful redemption because of the faithful who have told the story to their children from the time of ancient Egypt through the days of Messiah until this very day.

Our Passover Haggadah is a compilation from several different sources: the Covenant Community Church in McCook, Nebraska, two Messianic Haggadahs that were formatted from a traditional Jewish one, and our own personal insights from years of celebrating the memorial to the LORD’s Passover.

Messiah Yeshua is the reality in the shadows of Passover and his last Passover seder is central to our Haggadah. From it you will learn more about your Savior, his words to his followers and this ”appointed time” of God.

Use the How-to celebrate Passover to prepare your table and food in order to have a memorable celebration.

Illusion of Truth: A Testimony of Deliverance

To Purchase

“The Spirit expressly states that in the last days some people will apostatize from the faith by paying attention to deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.  Such teachings come from the hypocrisy of liars whose own consciences have been burned, as if with a red-hot branding iron.” (1 Timothy 4:1-2 CJB)

This is the personal testimony of a family who encountered deceiving spirits and things taught by demons through an “Illusion of Truth.” It is an account of evil demons and darkness that tried to consume everyone involved and a few times succeeded.   Yet as this family powerfully learned, when we stand on the Word of God, His Spirit of Truth and remain faithful to Yeshua,  the victory always belongs to Yahweh no matter how dark the darkness or how confusing the spirits.

In this account of Yahweh’s protection, the power of His deliverance from the bonds of fleece-wearing wolves is of Biblical proportion.  Though the names and places have been changed to protect family and friends who shared their personal experiences,  most events and correspondences remain as they were written.

“A must read for anyone wanting to learn about spiritual warfare and discernment,” Meshele T.

“This book is very well written and totally kept my interest.  Written from different viewpoints, it shows how people can sincerely want to please God, but be blind because of their own sin and rebellion, which can creep in without realizing it and affect not just their own lives and walk.   I am going to have my adult children read it, too.” Darlene M.

“I don’t generally read stories, but this one definitely kept my interest.  It has been so encouraging to me in my own gift of discerning of spirits.  My husband read over my shoulder and was intrigued.  With the subject matter being such serious spiritual warfare, I would not recommend it for young readers.”   Vonnie B.

“I started reading this book last night and it is very uplifting and honest. 5 stars READ IT!!!!” Judi P.
